хоҳ … хоҳ: whether … or

Се дона қаламфур гиред – хоҳ сурх бошад, хоҳ сабз фарқ надорад.
Get three peppers – it doesn’t matter whether they are red or green.
Хоҳ ту ба Москва равӣ, хоҳ бародарат аз Москва ояд, ба ҳар ҳол ҳар ду дар як ҷо бошед, беҳтар аст.
Whether you go to Moscow, or your brother comes from Moscow, either way it is better that you are both in one place.

имсол

умр ба сар бурдан: to live

Дар ҷангал рӯбоҳ, гург ва дигар ҳайвонҳо умр ба cap мебаранд.
In the forest foxes, wolves and other animals live.
Калонтарин кӯли Шарқи Дур – Ханкай мебошад, ки обаш ширин аст, дар сохилҳои он паррандаҳои гуногуни обӣ умр ба сар мебаранд.
The largest lake in the Far East is Lake Khanka, whose water is fresh, and on whose banks live various water birds.

In the first sentence, notice that the words рӯбоҳ (fox) and гург (wolf) don’t have plural endings. In Tajik, when you list several plural nouns, only the last item in the list needs the plural ending.

ба зиндон партофтан

ба зиндон партофтан: to throw in prison

Вайро ба зиндон партофт, то даме ки қарзашро адо кунад.
They threw him in prison, until he could pay off his debt.
Суғдиён Тархунро ба зиндон партофтанд ва ба ҷои ӯ Fypaқpo ба тахт шинонданд.
The Sogdians threw Tarkhun in prison and put Gurak on the throne in his place.

зардолу

зардолу: apricot tree

Зардолу аввали баҳор гул мекунад.
The apricot tree flowers at the beginning of spring.

The colour of the flowers of an apricot tree are white, red or pink.

Bonus:
Зардолу is the word for apricot, and also used for apricot tree. You don’t have to use the Tajik word for tree (дарахт) when talking about fruit trees.

уқоб

уқоб: eagle

Уқоб парандаи бузургҷусса ва баландпарвоз, ки ҷонварҳои хурдро шикор мекунад.
An eagle is a large-bodied and high-flying bird that hunts small animals.
Рӯзе аз лонаи уқоб, ки дар қуллаи баландтарини кӯҳ ҷойгир буд, тухме ба замин афтод. 
One day from an eagle’s nest, which was on the top of the highest mountain, an egg fell to the ground.

They were two brothers, both bootmakers.
Онҳо ҳар ду киштиро ба соҳил бароварданд.
They brought both boats to shore.

Bonus:
Notice that the noun following ҳар ду is singular in Tajik, whereas in English it is plural.

мӯзадӯз

мӯзадӯз: bootmaker

Мӯзадӯз мӯза медӯзад.
A bootmaker makes (sews) boots.
Ӯ дар ғарби Эрон дар хонаводаи мӯзадӯз ба дунё омадааст.
He was born into the household of a bootmaker in the west of Iran.
