Among the single-celled organisms, many of them are parasites.
Ҳайвонеро, ки дар бадани он муфтхӯр зиндагӣ мекунад, «хӯҷаин» меноманд.
The animals that the parasites live on are called the host.

Take the shoes off your feet, because the place where you are standing is holy ground.

агарчи: though, although

Агарчи ӯ ҷавон аст, ӯ далер аст.
Though he is young, he is brave.
Агарчи чашмонаш кушода буданд, ҳеҷ касро намедид.
Although his eyes were open, he didn’t see anybody.

Usually only animate objects (people, animals etc.) can take the plural ending -он, but body parts that occur in pairs can also sometimes take the plural ending -он, instead of the plural ending for inanimate objects, -ҳо. In the second sentence, notice that the plural for eyes is чашмон instead of чашмҳо.

I didn’t get enough sleep.

халос: only, that’s all

Man can live with out food for more than a month, but he can live just a few days without water and that’s all.

On work days they usually sleep for six hours and on days off for seven hours and that’s all.

It sounds better in English to use the word “only” in the middle of the sentence instead of using “that’s all” at the end, eg “Man can live without food for more than a month, but only a few days without water.”

халос кардан: to release, to free
халос шудан: to be released, to be set free

Using халос with a verb at the end of a sentence indicates the completion of an action or a limit of the action. Notice also that the verb has the suffix у (and).
