Чароғи бадан чашм аст.
The lamp of the body is the eye.
Чароғро афрӯхта, на дар зери зарфе, балки бар чароғдон мегузоранд, ва он гоҳ ба ҳама касоне ки дар хонаанд, рӯшноӣ медиҳад.
They light a lamp and put it not under a container, but on a lamp stand, and then it gives light to all people who are in the house.

даромадгоҳ

даромадгоҳ: entryway, entrance

Дар даромадгоҳи мактаб арчаи калонеро бо бозичаҳо ороиш медоданд.
In the entryway of the school they would decorate a big (New Year’s) tree with ornaments.
Дар даромадгоҳи меҳмонхона, дар болои зинапоя, марду занҳои хушлибос истода гап мезаданд.
In the entryway of the hotel, on the stairs, nicely dressed men and women would stand and talk.

девор

девор: wall

Дар девор харитаи осмон овехтам.
I hung a map of the sky on the wall.
Вай савора омада, дар сояи девори баланде қарор гифифт.
He rode up, and rested in the shade of a tall wall.

девори шаҳр: city wall
девори похса: mud wall

There are several verbs for “to build a wall” – девор сохтан, девор кашидан, девор задан, девор кардан

To make wall into an adjective, add the suffix ӣ.
соати деворӣ: wall clock

Tajik saying:
Девор муш дорад, муш гӯш дорад.
Walls have mice, mice have ears.
It means, be careful when telling a secret because you don’t know who might be listening.

парда

парда: curtain

Аз матоъхои абрешимӣ парда тайёр мекунанд.
They make curtains from silk materials.
Ва парда аз боло то поён дарида, ду пора шуд.
The curtain was torn in two from top to bottom.

дастархон

дастархон: tablecloth

Хизматгор дастархон овард.
The server brought a tablecloth.
Дар дастархон, албатта, сачоқчаҳои матоӣ ва коғазӣ гузошта мешаванд.
On the tablecloth, of course, cloth and paper napkins will be placed.

Bonus:
дастархони ҳафтсин: “7-s” tablecloth
For Navruz Tajiks decorate the tablecloth with seven things beginning with the letter s. The word “син” is the Arabic letter “s”, or in Tajik “с”.
